Macduff lift cross-country title

MORE than 300 primary 6 and 7 youngsters from Banff Academy’s seven feeder schools converged on the academy grounds to compete at cross-country.

The overall team trophy for the boys went to Macduff Primary by just two points, and Banff Primary won the girls’ trophy.

Leading results: P7 girls – 1 Alisha Forbes (Banff), 2 Amber Gorazdoski (Macduff), 3 Alanna Downie (Banff), 4 Finlay Duncan (Banff), 5 Stephanie Weir (Bracoden Primary).

P7 boys – 1 Callum Bruce (Macduff), 2 Aiden Sopel (Banff), 3 Kyle Wicks (Macduff), 4 Harry Forsyth (Fordyce Primary), 5 Jordan McIsaac (Portsoy Primary).

P6 girls – 1 Iona Robertson (Portsoy), 2 Tyler McKay (Portsoy), 3 Natasha Pratt (Macduff), 4 Kirsten Nattriss (Aberchirder Primary), 5 Stacy McLean (Aberchirder).

P6 boys – 1 Campbell Brodie (Macduff), 2 Lewis McLeod (Whitehills Primary), 3 Magic Waliszeik (Macduff), 4 Joshia West (Bracoden), 5 Samuel Cummings (Banff).
